Clute council adopts road-repair, mutual-aid and Woodshore development resolutions; EDC funding read for second hearing

Staff and council members clarified the funds are budgeted and that the EDC must complete the public-hearing and second-reading steps before dispersal.
Resolution 64-2025 (interlocal mutual-aid under House Bill 33): The council approved an interlocal cooperative agreement with Brazoria County and the State of Texas to augment existing mutual-aid arrangements as prescribed by HB33; staff said the city already provides mutual aid but that this resolution publicly formalizes interoperability. The measure passed unanimously.
Resolution 65-2025 (amendment No. 2 to Section 380 agreement with DHK LLC): Council convened in executive session for deliberations on economic-development negotiations and consultation with counsel, then returned to approve the amendment extending project completion dates under the Section 380 agreement with DHK LLC (Woodshore development). The motion to approve passed unanimously.
