Argyle council appoints five members to Capital Improvements Advisory Committee

The Argyle Town Council approved Resolution 2026‑63 to appoint members to the Capital Improvements Advisory Committee as required by Texas Local Government Code §395.058.
The mayor read a slate of nominees who applied for the committee and the council approved the five members presented: John Donahue, Brad Finley, Amy Cook, Doug Shanahan and Scott Niven. Council and staff discussed best practices for CIAC composition, with staff advising the council to favor town residents and that at least a majority of members should have real‑estate or development experience to meet committee purpose and state guidance.
Staff will formalize the appointments and integrate the CIAC into capital‑project reviews and the upcoming thoroughfare/impact‑fee schedule.
