Greg Shibley moved to approve the agenda; Dr. Javier Ayala seconded and the motion carried unanimously. The board’s roll call listed Dr. Javier Ayala, Dorinda Miller, Yajaira Preciado, Cheryl Robertson and Greg Shibley as present.
During the public-comment portion of the agenda, Debbie Skipper, president of the Lemon Grove Teachers Association, thanked district leadership for ongoing cooperation and said the union looks forward to participating in the district’s superintendent search. "LGTA shared appreciation of the support and work over the years between LGTA and Superintendent Erica Balakian. LGTA looks forward to working with leadership and having an open dialogue on the superintendent search," Skipper said.
The board then adjourned to closed session at 5:37 p.m. under Government Code § 54957 to consider personnel matters. The meeting resumed in open session at 6:30 p.m., and the board announced that no action had been taken during the closed session. The special meeting adjourned at 6:30 p.m.
