Lemon Grove board approves budget report, school-safety plan and multiple contracts in unanimous votes

The board also selected delegates for the 2023–2024 California School Boards Association Delegate Assembly: Whitney Antrim, Kate Bishop, Delia Dominguez Cervantes, Elva Lopez Zepeda, Shad Thielman, Cipriano Vargas and Katrina Young. The minutes record that most motions carried unanimously with the five board members listed in attendance voting yea on the motions where tallies were provided.
A proposed new board policy (1400 Relations Between Other Government Agencies and The Schools) received no motion and was tabled for revisions requested by the board. The full consent agenda (items B–U) was approved after the board pulled item 7.E during initial approval and then approved it separately later in the meeting. Several items were approved with named movers and seconders as recorded in the minutes.
