Council sets July 9 public hearings for two annexations and keeps Gaither property hearing open

Williams also reported on The Falls, a 36.27-acre portion of a larger site where a 191-unit single-family development is under construction, and on Kaylor Ridge; Council adopted resolutions fixing July 9, 2024 at 6 p.m. in council chambers as the public hearing date for both The Falls and Kaylor Ridge.
Mayor Pro Tem John Stiver moved and Council Member Jody Dixon seconded the resolutions to set the hearing dates; motions carried. No final annexation actions were taken—the council established hearing dates and the clerk will investigate petitions and certify sufficiency as part of the annexation process.
Planning Director Randy Williams said the Gaither rezoning application has been withdrawn and that staff recommended leaving that public hearing open until the applicant submits a new application for consideration.
