The Todd County Board of Commissioners on Feb. 17 adopted findings of the Planning Commission and approved a preliminary plat for parcel 12-0007400, known as 'Sacred Heart Addition,' subject to conditions intended to ensure cemetery compliance with state law.
Conditions included compliance with applicable local, state or federal regulations related to cemetery operation; designating a cemetery official and alternate and providing contact information for the final plat; maintaining a list of burials and their exact locations; fencing the cemetery property so all burial sites remain inside the fenced area; establishing vegetative screening at maturity of at least 6 feet around the property; and compliance with Minnesota Statutes Chapter 307.
The board also adopted Planning Commission findings and granted a conditional use permit to construct a ground-mounted solar energy system on parcel 14-0024803 with conditions: obtaining permitting and licensing from required agencies, submitting an interconnection agreement with the electric service provider before issuance of a land-use permit, review of additional arrays by the Planning Commission, and vegetative screening along the east property line with a minimum mature height of 6 feet.
Both decisions were adopted by unanimous vote as recorded in the minutes.
