The Duluth Mayor and Council on March 9 approved an intergovernmental agreement (IGA) with the Gwinnett County School District to allow use of Coleman Middle School parking areas outside the hours of school operations. Councilmember Thomas moved for approval and Councilmember Park seconded; the motion passed with Councilmembers Park, Thomas, Doss and Graeder recorded in favor.
According to the minutes, GCSD representatives requested the council approve the extension and forward the executed agreement to the district. The IGA will be the second extension of the agreement covering the same parking areas. The council authorized the mayor or city manager to execute the agreement as presented.
