Madeira council approves flooring, engineering and repaving contracts in consent agenda

Madeira City Council on Feb. 9 approved a consent block that included four resolutions authorizing the City Manager to execute contracts for municipal building flooring and engineering services.
The council approved Resolution No. 15-26, authorizing the city manager to execute an amendment with APG Office Furnishings for carpet and flooring at the municipal building; Resolution No. 16-26, authorizing an agreement with The Kleingers Group to provide engineering design services for the Camargo Road Improvements, Phase 2 project; Resolution No. 17-26, authorizing a third amendment with The Kleingers Group for engineering design services for Camargo Road Improvements, Phase 1; and Resolution No. 18-26, authorizing an agreement with The Kleingers Group to provide construction drawings and construction administration for the 2026 Residential Street Repaving Program. Council Member Logan Junger made the motion to approve the agenda and consent items, seconded by Kaity Rowe; the motion carried by a 7-0 roll call vote.
In committee reports, City Manager Michael Norton-Smith said the Board of Zoning Appeals approved Case BZA-26-001, a request for a six-foot side yard fence. The Economic Development Committee reported unanimous support for the Urban Fast Forward proposal and Resolution 13-26; Council later tabled that resolution pending future consideration.
Mayor Tom Henning opened the meeting with acknowledgements, thanking the Public Works Department for handling a recent snowfall and noting a library event that honored five of Madeira’s seven former female mayors. The council scheduled its next regular meeting for Feb. 23, 2026.
