Bedford County board approves election printing contract, CDBG housing rehab subrecipient agreement and multiple personnel actions

At its Feb. 10 meeting the Bedford County Board of Commissioners approved a Master Agreement with National Printing Company for 2026 elections, a CDBG subrecipient agreement for Bedford Township housing rehab, reappointed Edward J. The Bedford County Board of Commissioners approved several administrative contracts, appointments and personnel actions at the Feb. 10, 2026 meeting.
The board voted to approve a Master Agreement with National Printing Company for the 2026 election on the recommendation of the Bedford County Board of Elections. Commissioners also approved a Subrecipient Agreement with the Center for Community Action for CDBG FFY 2024 OBO Bedford Township Housing Rehab; Jeffrey Fellers, CDBG Administrator, said the Center will oversee the project. Both motions were made by Commissioner Winck and seconded by Commissioner Baughman and were recorded as approved in the minutes.
The board approved the reappointment of Edward J. Stefancik to the Bedford County Housing Authority through Jan. 20, 2031, and appointed Troy Wertz to the Bedford County Airport Authority for a five-year term effective Feb. 10, 2026. Commissioners also approved personnel actions submitted by department heads for February 2026; commissioners noted new staff additions including Olivia Brenize as Administrative Assistant to the Director of Elections, Melissa Millard as Director of Finance, Theresa Montgomery as Director of Veterans Affairs and Matthew Ortiz as assistant in Veterans Affairs. The minutes list detailed hire, transfer and separation dates for multiple employees across county departments.
