Bullhead City staff outline 2026 General Plan update, plan for public outreach and June council review

S6 said, “we have to update our General Plan,” and described a schedule that targets multiple meetings in the spring with the goal of forwarding a recommendation to the City Council at the second council meeting in June. Staff said a draft of the 2026 plan should be available within a few weeks and that outreach will include online publication and public meetings.
Commission participant (S9) clarified that the General Plan is a general election matter: the council reviews and, if it chooses, places the plan on the ballot; if set by council it will be included in the voter information pamphlet for the November election. No specific ballot language or final council timeline was adopted during the commission meeting.
