Bay Minette council approves FY2021-2022 budget on first reading and several resolutions

At its Sept. 7, 2021 meeting, the City Council of the City of Bay Minette approved Resolution 0921-01, adopting the FY2021-2022 city budget on first reading.
Councilmember Mike Phillips moved to approve the budget resolution on first reading; Councilmember Pete Sellers seconded and the motion carried unanimously according to the minutes. During the meeting the council also approved payables totaling $382,890.52 after a motion by Councilmember Phillips and second by Councilmember Sellers.
The council unanimously approved Resolution 0921-02, an agreement among the Baldwin County Commission, the City of Bay Minette and the city’s Planning Commission concerning exercise of municipal planning jurisdiction; that motion was moved by Councilmember William Taylor and seconded by Councilmember Shannon Clemmons. The council also approved Resolution 0921-03 (an independent-contractor agreement for recreation programs with Anthony Giordano), Resolution 0921-04 (ABC permitting for Tiger City Lanes and the Recreation Center for Restaurant Retail Liquor Licenses), and Resolution 0921-05 (confirming the appointment of Andrew Blake Clark as Recreation Director). Those measures were recorded as passing unanimously in the minutes.
With no further business, Councilmember William Taylor moved to adjourn; Councilmember Shannon Clemmons seconded and the motion carried. The minutes were attested by City Clerk Rita Diedtrich.
