Bay Minette City Council met on June 21, 2021, at City Hall and approved payables totaling $132,291.07, authorized a $6,000 allocation for Bay Minette Youth Baseball and adopted a Planning and Zoning Services Department fee schedule.
Mayor Robert A. "Bob" Wills called the meeting to order. Councilmember William Taylor gave the invocation and Councilmember Shannon Clemmons led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Councilmember Mike Phillips moved to approve payables in the amount of $132,291.07; Councilmember Pete Sellers seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. The council also approved the minutes of the June 7, 2021 council meeting and work session as part of a consent agenda motion moved by Councilmember Taylor and seconded by Councilmember Matt Franklin.
Mayor Wills asked the council to approve Resolution Number 0621-08, an addition to the city's depositories. Councilmember Matt Franklin moved the resolution, Councilmember William Taylor seconded, and the motion was approved unanimously.
The council considered Resolution Number 0621-09 to provide $6,000 to Bay Minette Youth Baseball. Councilmember Shannon Clemmons moved the resolution and Councilmember Matt Franklin seconded. The funding was specified to be expended with $1,000 from the Mayor's Contingency and $1,000 from each of Districts 1 through 5 contingencies. The motion carried with Mayor Robert A. "Bob" Wills and Councilmembers Mike Phillips, Matt Franklin, William Taylor and Shannon Clemmons voting aye and Councilmember Pete Sellers recording an abstention.
Mayor Wills then presented Resolution Number 0621-10, adopting the Planning and Zoning Services Department fee schedule. Councilmember Pete Sellers moved to approve the fee schedule, Councilmember Matt Franklin seconded, and the motion carried unanimously.
There being no further business, Councilmember Shannon Clemmons moved to adjourn the meeting; Councilmember William Taylor seconded and the motion carried. The meeting was officially adjourned on June 21, 2021.
