Resolution No. 0421-11 appointed Brandon Simpson, Shane Hadley and Craig Smith to the Bay Minette Industrial Development Board and designated Councilmember Matt Franklin as the city representative.
Additional approvals included Resolution No. 0421-12, waiving the Holly Hills Municipal Golf Course clubhouse rental fee for Bay Minette Elementary School events; Resolution No. 0421-13, granting an event permit for Shriner's Hospital for Children; and Resolution No. 0421-14, appointing the city's voting delegate for the Alabama League of Municipalities annual business meeting. The council also named AMIC voter designees: Voting Delegate Councilmember Mike Phillips; 1st Alternate Councilmember Shannon Clemmons; 2nd Alternate Councilmember Pete Sellers.
The meeting opened with an invocation from Mayor Robert A. Wills and the Pledge of Allegiance led by Councilmember Matt Franklin. Mayor Wills recognized Kelli Wallace and Tiz Day of the North Baldwin Center for Educational Excellence, who presented Teacher of the Year awards to teachers from local schools; Wallace received a bouquet honoring her service as NBCEE president.
With no further business, Councilmember Shannon Clemmons moved to adjourn; Councilmember William Taylor seconded and the motion carried unanimously. The minutes were attested by Mayor Robert A. Wills and City Clerk Rita Diedtrich.
