City holds ADEM-required hearing on ARPA-funded upgrades at Dave Treadwell wastewater plant

The Moody City Council held an ADEM-required public hearing on Sept. 11 about plans to use American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds for wastewater improvements at the Dave Treadwell Waste Water Treatment Facility.
City Engineer Keith Hager described proposed modernization work intended to expand capacity and upgrade treatment processes to meet present and anticipated effluent limits. Mayor Joe Lee opened the hearing and noted the city is following ADEM requirements for public notice and comment.
No members of the public spoke during the hearing, which opened at 6:06 p.m. and closed at 6:07 p.m. The hearing is part of the administrative process required before the city applies ARPA funds to the wastewater project.
