Winnebago County board appoints JacobsonWestergard to reclassify parts of DD 14

Kris Oswald, the county Drainage Clerk, said a lateral was not listed in the district’s 2019 reclassification report. On a motion by Supervisor Durby, seconded by Supervisor Smith, the board voted to appoint JacobsonWestergard and specified the reclassification work would be completed at the engineer’s expense. The motion carried with all supervisors voting aye.
The board did not set a completion date in the minutes. The appointment indicates the county will proceed with a formal reclassification process to add the omitted laterals to DD 14’s official record. The board’s next regular session is scheduled for March 10, 2026.
