Lemon Grove board approves facilities master plan, modular-classroom contracts and multiple personnel items

At its Nov. 16, 2021 meeting, the Lemon Grove School District Governing Board approved a package of facilities, contracting and personnel items, including a Facilities Master Plan and authorizations for relocatable classrooms at Vista La Mesa Academy and San Altos Elementary School. Presenters identified as Jennifer of King Consulting and Trent of CA+SA Studios discussed the Facilities Master Plan before the board approved it.
The board authorized a piggyback bid between Loomis Union School District and Global Modular and approved a contract with Global Modular for relocatable buildings. The board also approved CA+SA Studio for architectural and engineering services related to those relocatable buildings at an estimated cost of $74,750.
Board members approved several new and revised job descriptions and related salary schedules, including positions listed as Nutrition Services Program Lead, Nutrition Services Preparation Specialist, Student Support Data & Compliance Technician and Dean of Students; they also approved stipend and certificated management salary schedules. Other approved items included travel for the 2021 Human Capital Leadership Summit, a Federal Addendum, a contract with Fatherhood Alliance for a District Equity Study, and a resolution (2021-22-05) continuing the board’s authority to hold virtual meetings through Dec. 31, 2021. The consent agenda, containing routine items such as contracts for ratification, purchase orders, AB 1200 disclosure and notice of completion for a flooring replacement project, was approved as presented.
All recorded action items during open session carried by unanimous vote as listed in the meeting minutes. The board adjourned at 9:58 p.m.; the board set its annual organizational meeting for Dec. 14, 2021.
