At its April 5 meeting the Lemon Grove Governing Board approved a slate of operational measures affecting campus organization, staffing and procurement.
The board approved Resolution No. 2021-22-17 to assign the current CDS code to Lemon Grove Academy Middle School and create a new CDS code for Lemon Grove Academy Elementary. The board also approved Resolution No. 2021-22-16 authorizing the district to submit applications for the Preschool, Transitional Kindergarten and Full-Day Kindergarten Facility Grant Program. Both measures passed on unanimous recorded votes.
Trustees approved a project authorization for a San Miguel campus reorganization and adopted multiple personnel actions related to new and updated job descriptions, including a Registered Behavior Technician and an Expanded Learning Program Manager and Regional Supervisor. The board also approved a classified management salary schedule and a resolution (No. 2021-22-15) approving the re-opening of a school and related actions. The minutes show these items were moved and seconded and carried 5–0.
Several contracts and purchases were approved on the consent agenda, including instructional materials (Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Go Math; Studies Weekly), HVAC replacement at Lemon Grove Academy Middle (Countywide Mechanical Systems), flooring to DFS Flooring, LP, interior painting to European Style Painting Corporation, and security window shades to Budget Blinds of Chula Vista. Gifts to the district from the Blackbaud Giving Fund were also ratified.
The minutes list motions and recorded votes but provide no budgetary totals for the contracts or grant application amounts; specifics are expected to appear in supporting staff reports and bid documents referenced in the consent materials.
