Board approves Strawberry Festival lease, CDBG engineering contract and county vendor payments; tables Pressley Ridge agreement

Fulton County commissioners on Feb. 17 approved a series of contracts and vendor payments and voted to table one contract pending further information.
The board approved a McConnell Park lease submitted by the Fulton County Chamber of Commerce and Tourism for the Strawberry Festival scheduled June 11–13, 2026 (motion by Commissioner Hervey P. Hann). The board also approved a contract with CES Engineering, LLC for engineering services at the Warfordsburg Senior Center CDBG project not to exceed $15,000 (motion by Commissioner Hann).
Commissioner Randy H. Bunch moved to retroactively authorize Chief Clerk Stacey M. Shives to sign a CDBG Exempt Status Determination and Mitigation Measures and Conditions form; the board approved that retroactive authorization. The board approved Domestic Relations Director Tina Gress's request to purchase new office furniture from W.B. Mason for $6,467.15 to be funded by the Title IV-D Incentive Account. Commissioner Steven L. Wible moved to approve and execute an invoice from Wessel & Company for CFO services during January 2026 in the amount of $4,340; that payment was approved.
Separately, the board voted to table a contract between Pressley Ridge and Fulton County for services for children until additional information is gathered. All recorded motions in the minutes were passed with the notation 'All in favor.'
