The Moses Lake School Directors Board conducted its annual officer elections at the Dec. 19 regular meeting. Nominations were opened for president, vice president, legislative representative and WIAA representative; each nomination was approved by roll-call vote.
Corinne Jensen was nominated and approved for president. Carla Urias was nominated and approved for vice president. Paul Hill was nominated and approved as legislative representative and was also appointed as one of two permanent audit committee members for the coming year. Ryan Colston was nominated and approved as the WIAA representative. Board members discussed leaving the second audit committee position open for rotation and agreed to organize schedules so different board members can serve as availability allows.
Separately, the board moved the January meeting schedule for January only: regular meetings will be on the second and fourth Thursdays (rather than the first and third) and the board added a facility-use work-study session on Jan. 16.
All officer and appointment votes were taken by roll call; the meeting minutes record members voting in favor and no recorded oppositions to these appointments.
