Bay Minette Mayor Robert A. Wills and city council members took their oaths of office at the start of the Nov. 2, 2020 City Council meeting, retired 28th Judicial Circuit Judge Robert Wilters administered the oaths to the mayor and councilmembers and to newly confirmed municipal court officials.
The council approved the consent agenda, including the minutes of Oct. 19 and Oct. 28, 2020, and a training request for City Clerk Rita Diedtrich to attend the Alabama Municipal Annual Conference Dec. 2–4, 2020 at an estimated cost of $1,372.36. Councilmember Matthew "Matt" Franklin moved to approve the consent items; Councilmember Jerry "Pete" Sellers seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
