Larry Horton asked the council to approve buying five pairs of firefighting boots from vendor EEP for $1,875 (budgeted to 01‑514‑5400) and to authorize repairs to apparatus E‑2 by EEP at $3,278.25 (budgeted to 01‑514‑4502); both motions were approved. Horton also requested authorization to apply for an Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) Micro Grant. Horton said the city’s share would be a 5% match, estimated at $3,000–$5,000, while the grant award could exceed $60,000. The council voted to approve applying for the grant.
