Council approves acquisition of Streets truck and Utilities dump truck

The Camp Verde Town Council approved two vehicle acquisitions on Feb. 18 to support street and wastewater operations.
Streets Division Manager Shane Allen said a three-quarter-ton crew cab truck was approved in the FY26 Capital Improvement Program and the council authorized a lease-purchase agreement through Enterprise not to exceed $75,000. Vice Mayor Wendy Escoffier moved the approval; the council voted 7-0 in favor.
Wastewater Division Manager Chet Teague explained a 1-ton dump truck scheduled for replacement in 2027 has deteriorated to the point that continued use is no longer feasible. He and Town Manager Fisher said alternative funding sources within the wastewater budget will cover the purchase. The council approved a $66,525 purchase from Oxendale plus taxes, titles and licenses by roll-call vote, 7-0.
Both purchases were presented as part of the FY26 Capital Improvement Program and staff said they will enable continued operation and maintenance of town streets and wastewater systems.
