Camp Verde council approves SiteLogIQ solar financing for wastewater plant

Town Manager Miranda Fisher introduced the plan and D.A. Davidson Senior Vice President Steve Goehl outlined the financing structure and timeline. SiteLogIQ representatives Lexee Melendez and Matthew Miller said federal tax credits are central to the deal; Melendez said the town is “on track to meet all the deadlines required to receive the tax credit.” Finance Director Michael Showers provided estimates of expected kilowatt savings and projected dollar savings to the town’s energy budget.
Council members asked detailed questions about the lease-purchase structure, the timing and receipt of tax-credit benefits, and the projected return on investment. Councilor Robin Godwin moved to authorize staff to proceed with the final lender due diligence and financing-document preparation; the motion passed on a roll-call vote of 7-0.
The approval does not finalize financing or construction; it authorizes staff to negotiate and return a final financing package to the council for subsequent action. Council minutes record that the town will continue to evaluate projected savings and the timeline for tax-credit qualification as staff completes lender reviews.
