Town Manager Miranda Fisher and Finance Director Michael Showers presented two linked resolutions: Resolution 2026-1209, to execute an agreement with SiteLogIQ for the solar energy system installation, and Resolution 2026-1211, to authorize an equipment lease-purchase agreement and related documents to finance energy conservation measures. The Council voted 7-0 to approve the measures on a motion by Councilor Patricia Seybold, seconded by Councilor Robert Foreman.
Council members and staff described the measures as energy conservation steps intended to reduce operational energy costs at the treatment plant. The Council did not record any dissent or amendments during the action; both resolutions passed by roll-call vote.
The approvals authorize staff to execute the SiteLogIQ contract and proceed with the lease-purchase financing; staff indicated those documents will return for administrative completion and contract execution consistent with the resolutions the Council approved.
The action is intended to advance the Town's energy conservation goals and reduce operational costs at the wastewater facility.
