Sioux County approves One-and-Six-Year Road Plan, awards gravel-crushing and sign installation work

The board also moved forward on the object-marker/horizontal-curve signage program required by the Nebraska Department of Roads. Thorpe Thompson offered installation at $57 per sign; the board accepted the proposal and instructed the County Attorney to prepare a contract and later approved an addendum to install additional signs.
Personnel actions tied to the road program included authorization to advertise and hire road employees, approval to make certain hires permanent after their probationary periods and several wage adjustments noted in the minutes.
