Sioux County approves wind zoning amendments, continues permitting process for proposed 300 MW project

On May 16 the board approved the amendments as presented (motion recorded in minutes); later, on July 19 the commissioners set protest hearing dates (July 19 and 20) and granted a three-year extension to maintain temporary meteorological towers associated with the proposed facility.
