Sioux County Board of Equalization approves two building permits

The Sioux County Board of Equalization approved two building permits at a meeting at the Sioux County Courthouse in Harrison on Feb. 2, 2026.
Commissioner Hal Downer moved to approve a building permit filed by John and Jamie Morse; Commissioner J.W. Geiser seconded. On the roll-call vote, Commissioners J.W. Geiser, Hal Downer and Chairman Josh Skavdahl voted "yes," and the motion carried.
Commissioner J.W. Geiser then moved to approve a building permit filed by Andy and Holly Federle; Commissioner Hal Downer seconded. The board again recorded unanimous "yes" votes from Geiser, Downer and Skavdahl, and that motion carried.
County Clerk Michelle Zimmerman noted that the Open Meeting Laws were posted in the meeting room. The meeting was called to order at 1:00 p.m., the agenda approved, and, with no further business, the board adjourned at 1:05 p.m. The meeting minutes bear the signatures of Chairman Josh Skavdahl and Clerk Michelle Zimmerman.
