Moody Council OKs ARPA-funded IT upgrades, media-partner agreement and Chamber payment

Mayor Joe Lee presented a proposal to upgrade IT infrastructure for city administration and the police department using American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds, not to exceed $30,000. The minutes break the IT work into two projects: an administration project at $14,500 and a police project at $12,000. Council Member Lynn Taylor moved to approve the ARPA-funded IT projects; Council Member Ellis Key seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
The council also approved an agreement with The River 94.1FM to serve as a media partner at a cost not to exceed $1,500 per month (budgeted to 01-510-1200). Lynn Taylor moved to approve; Nick Rutledge seconded and the motion carried unanimously. The minutes note that an attorney opinion letter was attached to the agenda packet regarding the agreement.
Finally, the council approved a $3,000 payment to the Moody Chamber of Commerce to support Oktoberfest expenses (budgeted to 01-510-1200). Linda Crowe moved to approve; Nick Rutledge seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
The meeting was closed by Mayor Joe Lee at 6:23 p.m.
