The Fulton County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously Nov. 25 to adopt the county’s 2026 tentative budget as presented by Chief Financial Officer Mike Lamb and Fiscal Administrator Sue Reed. Commissioner Hervey P. Hann moved for adoption and the motion carried with all present commissioners voting in favor.
The tentative budget was adopted as the board’s next step in the budget calendar; the board set a final adoption date of Dec. 30, 2025. County finance staff presented the document to commissioners during the meeting and no changes to the tentative proposal were recorded on the public record at the meeting.
The adoption of a tentative budget allows county departments to proceed with preliminary fiscal planning ahead of final approval. The board did not present a full line-item summary during the public session; detailed budget documents were presented by CFO Mike Lamb and Fiscal Administrator Sue Reed. The board will consider the final adoption at its Dec. 30 meeting.
