He presented a plan for eight barriers (about three feet high by five feet long) placed at three potential lines across the back of the building to permit cars and pickups to pass while preventing semis from cutting the corner. "If we can get them, I can...fill them up about halfway and put them along across there," he said.
The council discussed budget sources and the impact on winter maintenance; Councilmember Trisha Arbon moved to approve purchase of the barricades, LuAnn Johnson seconded, and the motion passed by voice vote with no recorded opposition.
Council directed staff to provide more detailed purchase information to be included in the next meeting packet and to confirm where funds will be taken from the town budget.
