Snowville council appoints and swears in Michael Morgan

The Snowville Town Council unanimously appointed Michael Morgan to fill a vacant council seat at its Feb. 11 meeting and administered the oath of office to both Trisha Arbon and Michael Morgan.
Councilmember LuAnn Johnson moved to appoint Michael Morgan to the vacancy; Trisha Arbon seconded and the motion passed by voice vote. Deputy Clerk Stacey Hill then administered the oath to each official, who repeated the pledge to “support, obey and defend the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of Utah” and to discharge their duties “with fidelity.”
Mayor Beagley congratulated the newly sworn members. Council took no further formal action on the appointment beyond the oath and vote.
