Austin housing and planning committee adopts 2026 meeting calendar

Madison, council member for District 1 and chair of the Austin Housing and Planning Committee, opened a special called meeting on Jan. 27, 2026, and the committee approved its calendar of meeting dates for 2026.
"So the proposed dates are February 10, April 14, June 2, October 13, and December 1, with all dates subject to change as needed," Chair Madison said as she read the proposed schedule aloud. Council Member Siegel moved to adopt the calendar and Council Member Ellis seconded; Chair Madison announced the motion carried with the ayes prevailing.
The committee also approved the minutes from its Sept. 16 meeting after a motion by Council Member Siegel, seconded by Council Member Ellis. Chair Madison said the minutes would be filed with the city clerk in accordance with city code.
The committee emphasized that dates are subject to change and that staff should coordinate scheduling adjustments if needed. No members of the public were signed up to speak during the public communication period.
