The Sioux County Board of Commissioners approved several routine items in meetings on July 1 and Sept. 1, 2015, including a recorded exemption, a tax-list correction related to a mobile home, family-exemption applications, and a building permit.
On July 1 the board approved a recorded exemption submitted by Jodi Thomsen that had previously been approved by the planning commission. Commissioner J.W. Geiser moved to approve the exemption and Commissioner Hal Downer seconded; roll-call votes were recorded as unanimous and the motion carried. The board also approved Tax List Correction 2015-6, an acceleration of tax to move a mobile home owned by Kenneth Lotton, on a motion by Geiser seconded by Downer; the vote was unanimous.
At the Sept. 1, 2015 meeting the board approved Building Permit 2015-8 for Schnurr Ranch, LLC (motion by Hal Downer, seconded by J.W. Geiser; roll call unanimous). The board also approved two family-exemption applications for Mike and Linda Kesselring to split off one parcel of 15 acres and another parcel of 23.11 acres; the motion was made by J.W. Geiser and seconded by Hal Downer, and the vote was recorded as unanimous.
The minutes note that the items had been previously reviewed or approved by planning/zoning bodies where applicable and that the board adjourned each meeting with no further business recorded.
