Mayor Terry Willis and the Price City Council approved an ordinance to vacate the Price Business and Industrial Park subdivision plat at 1900 E (between Airport Road and 300 North) following a public hearing. The council approved Ordinance No. 2026-002 by motion; mover and seconder were recorded and the motion carried (vote tally not provided).
Kim Martino, speaking for the subdivision owners, asked the council to dissolve the internal lot lines and return the property to 10-acre parcels, saying further development would be too expensive. Resident Mike Gurule said he was concerned about the property being sold and the prospect of additional housing; Martino responded that the conditions currently governing the property would remain regardless of the plat vacation. Resident Todd Richardson asked whether there were future plans regarding a sewer line on the property; the record notes the question but does not record a staff response in the minutes.
The public hearing was opened by Mayor Willis at 5:32 p.m. and closed at 5:40 p.m. Councilmember Richard Root moved to approve the ordinance; Councilmember Tina Urbanik seconded and the motion carried. The minutes do not include a roll-call tally for the vote. The ordinance vacates the recorded subdivision plat; next steps for replatting or any individual parcel sales or development will depend on follow-up filings and any required county-level recording or permitting.
