Moody City Council approves ARPA premium pay, budget amendments and routine purchases

The council approved a Public Works project (2021-2) not to exceed $36,000 to repair and remodel the Whites Chapel Community Center, including roof, exterior and ADA parking improvements; the vendor listed is Clapper Restoration and Renovations. The council also authorized surplus of specified Public Works equipment and approved repair work on two City Hall front porch roofs (vendor Davis Industries, Inc.; cost $10,500.00).
On business licensing, the council approved a new Class I lounge retail liquor license for OH Sherri Pub at 2733 Moody Parkway in Moody, Ala. In a separate item, the council approved Resolution R2021-12-13 to authorize premium pay from ARPA local recovery funds for essential municipal workers; the minutes record the resolution as approved on a motion by Council Member Nick Rutledge and seconded by Council Member Lynn Taylor.
