Vidor ISD board approves $7.03 million guaranteed maximum price for high school gym renovation

The presenter said permitting documents had been submitted and that the build team and subcontract templates were prepared; staff said they would issue letters of intent and move to contract execution following board approval. Trustees approved the GMP by voice vote; the motion carried 5–0 with two members absent.
Board discussion included procedural questions about permitting and timeline; staff said they expect permits this week and that build teams are assigned and ready to proceed after approval.
The board approved the GMP and will proceed with contracting consistent with the district's procurement and bond procedures.
