"We submitted a good cause exception, and that was denied, and this is a result of that," Maines said, explaining the purchase responds to the audit requirement.
Staff noted the scope covers all exterior doors and nearby windows at every campus except Briley Junior High, which is excluded because of a separate project. Trustees asked whether the requirements intersect with pending construction renderings for the new high school; Maines said he would follow up with more details about window heights and compliance.
The motion to accept the CoolView quote carried 6–0 with one member absent. Staff said installation would begin as soon as the vendor is notified and scheduling is confirmed.
