"So it's just individual prayer and individual bible study," the presenter said when clarifying that supervisors would monitor but not lead the activities.
The resolution, as read into the record by board staff, references Education Code §25.0823 and provides that the district will offer a 30‑minute period before school for students who have parental permission to participate; campus procedures and monitoring will be arranged locally. Trustees asked clarifying questions about the role of supervisors and whether existing student‑led organizations (for example First Priority) would be affected; administration said existing offerings would continue and that the new policy is intended to provide an additional option.
