Jess said the plan addresses relocation assistance requirements tied to CDBG-funded activities: "This is for CDBG," and clarified that municipalities must document protections and procedures in case housing is demolished or residents are displaced as a result of a CDBG project. Councilors agreed that while Lindell would not use CDBG funds to replace privately owned houses, the town must still adopt the required plan and submit documentation to qualify for grant funding.
Chair announced the second public hearing on the CDBG grant had been rescheduled for Wednesday, May 14 at 7 p.m., after Kara (the clerk) corrected a posting error. Chair and Jess confirmed the corrected posting and asked members to attend if possible.
