The council also discussed TransWest/TransSource Power funds: those grantors had supplied money for roads, and while they could provide funds directly, practical contractor availability outside larger towns remains a constraint.
Next steps: staff were instructed to post bid requests in the paper and on the town website for the required notice period, document outreach and responses, and return to council for formal acceptance if the bid process yields only one responsive proposal.
