The Bremer County Board of Supervisors appointed James O'Donnell to replace Sara Jennerman on the Veterans Affairs Commission with a term through June 30, 2026, and reappointed Richard Miller to a three‑year term ending June 30, 2027. Ken Kammeyer moved both actions and Ron Hildebrandt seconded; minutes record the actions as approved.
The board engaged Waverly Industrial Rehab to provide employment physicals, drug screens and workers' compensation services for the county. The board also designated the Waverly Health Center Walk‑In Clinic as the county's alternate provider when the rehab center is closed; the change is effective July 2, 2024. The motion was made by Hildebrandt and seconded by Kammeyer.
Separately, the board authorized payment, to occur before July 1, 2024, of the quarterly Department of Human Services (DHS) shared LAE (Local Administration Expenditures) reimbursement to Floyd County when the necessary data is received. The meeting's published claims list includes a line for Floyd County Auditor DHS shared costs ($4,311.87).
