On May 28 the Bremer County Board of Supervisors authorized two administrative actions: an update to the State of Iowa OCIO Letter of Authorization to change county points of contact for driver’s-license records, and authorization for the vice-chairman to sign a Standard Form of Agreement with I & S Group, Inc. for courthouse architect services.
The board approved removing Kip Ladage and adding Human Resources Manager Barb Meeker and Finance Director Kassandra Johansen as authorized points of contact to access driver’s-license records for employment and insurance screening. The motion to authorize the vice-chairman to sign the OCIO letter was made by Kammeyer and seconded by Vice-Chairman Dewey Hildebrandt and recorded as approved.
Separately, the board authorized replacement of the B101 owner/architect delivery method with a B133 Construction Manager/at-Risk (CMaR) delivery method and authorized the Vice-Chairman to sign the Standard Form of Agreement (B133) with I & S Group, Inc. for architect services related to the courthouse. The minutes record the action as approved on motion by Kammeyer with Hildebrandt seconding.
The minutes do not record contract price, scope details, or estimated timelines; the county’s procurement and contract files held by the Auditor will contain the full agreement.
