EMA/911 Director Brian Barton informed the Fulton County Board of Commissioners on Dec. 23 that the department's dispatch clocks are more than 20 years old and need replacement. Barton said the county's "Pre Alert" messages have been sent to local fire departments and provided an update on trainings completed and planned.
On a motion by Commissioner Randy H. Bunch, the board approved a ComPros quote of $4,940.00 for two dispatch clocks, including hardware and installation. Commissioner Hervey P. Hann moved to approve the 2026 Mission Critical Partners Regional Support Contract for Professional Services; the board recorded that the contract is fully grant funded and approved the contract unanimously.
The motions were approved as part of routine meeting business and no votes against were recorded.
