FULTON COUNTY — The Fulton County Board of Commissioners on Nov. 25 approved a change to the work status of Veteran Affairs Director Richard Newman so he will qualify as a full-time employee for benefit purposes.
Commissioner Hervey P. Hann moved to approve Newman working the equivalent of 30 hours per week, citing additional duties assigned by the state connected to the Disabled Veterans Real Estate Tax Exemption. The motion passed with all members recorded as in favor.
County staff will coordinate with Human Resources and the Treasurer’s Office to update payroll and benefits enrollment to reflect the change.
