Commission approves business licenses, BOE adjustments, payroll and other routine items

The Duchesne County Commission on Sept. 15 approved a series of routine administrative items, including business-license applications, Board of Equalization adjustments, payroll warrants, surplus items and vouchers.
Licensing staff Lexi Claybrook (speaker 8) presented new and renewed business licenses for operations including Pivot Pros (pivot assembly and installation), a kennel license and B & V Storage Solutions; Commissioners moved to accept the licenses and the motion carried by voice vote.
The board also considered Board of Equalization adjustments that staff had prepared; Commissioner Chubb (speaker 2) moved to approve the adjustments and the board approved them as presented.
Payroll for the pay period ending Aug. 30, 2025, was presented by staff (223 employees and a total payroll figure of $585,009.00) and approved by voice vote.
Commissioners approved an item to declare certain county property surplus and approved vouchers. During related contract discussions, commissioners asked staff to double-check bidder names and contract labels (specifically whether a cinder haul contract had been mislabeled) before final invoicing.
Action: motions carried by voice vote; staff to confirm contractor identifications and provide corrected contract labels if needed.
