Hurricane Valley Fire captain reports call volumes rising; Rockville had four calls in last month

"Things in the district are going very well," Captain Randall Day said, reporting that call volume has increased with warmer weather. He provided month-to-date counts: 22 calls in Springdale, four in Rockville and zero reported calls in Zion. Day said Chief Ames sent his apologies and introduced permanent firefighters Jim Hammond and Ryan Hood who attended for the record.
Council members thanked the firefighters for their service and had no follow-up actions recorded in the transcript. No requests for additional staffing or budget changes were discussed during the exchange.
