Fulton County commissioners approve minutes, payables and multiple personnel and appointment actions

The Fulton County Board of Commissioners met Dec. 16, 2025 and approved routine business including prior minutes and county payables, and took several personnel and appointment actions.
Commissioner Steven L. Wible moved to approve the Dec. 9, 2025 Commissioners' Meeting minutes and the Dec. 9, 2025 Retirement Board minutes; both motions passed with all commissioners voting in favor. Commissioner Hervey P. Hann moved to approve payables dated Dec. 16, 2025 totaling $281,921.91. The meeting record shows the fund breakdown as General Fund $214,588.09; 911 fund $20,705.31; Opioid Settlement Funds $46,105.21; and several smaller funds. The motion carried unanimously.
The board met with Domestic Relations Director Tina Gress. On a motion by Commissioner Hann, the commissioners approved the dismissal of a Domestic Relations employee effective Dec. 8, 2025 and moved to advertise an "Enforcement Officer 1" vacancy for the Domestic Relations Department to be posted both internally and externally.
Commissioner Bunch moved to enter and exit two brief executive sessions for personnel matters during the meeting; both motions carried. Commissioner Wible moved to retroactively approve a Momentive Software, Inc. renewal for the Fiscal Department at an annual price of $1,660.48. Commissioner Bunch moved to approve and execute a Sheriff's Department request for inmate physician services at the Bedford County Correctional Facility. Commissioner Bunch also moved to appoint Thomas Peppernick to the Fulton County Industrial Development Authority Board of Directors for a four-year term expiring Dec. 31, 2027; Commissioner Hann moved to reappoint Margie McGuire, Paula Shives, Thomas Morton and Daniel Schriever to two-year terms on the Fulton County Agricultural Land Preservation Board expiring Dec. 31, 2027. Commissioner Bunch moved to approve the 2026 Commissioners' Meeting dates for public advertisement in the Fulton County Newspaper; the motion carried.
A DCED Financial Monitoring Interview scheduled for 11:30 a.m. was canceled by DCED, which requested to meet instead with SEDA Cog and the chief clerk. Commissioner Bunch moved to adjourn at 11:45 a.m.; the motion passed unanimously.
