BelRed Arts District group outlines studio openings, FIFA activations and a prefeasibility study

Sandy Vo, executive director of the Alliance, said the nonprofit — formed in November 2023 — has been focused on "connecting and amplifying" artists, creative businesses and community partners to boost the district’s visibility and local economic vitality. Vo cited figures from the Arts & Economic Prosperity 6 study, saying "$54,300,000 were spent in 2022," about 850,000 people attended arts and cultural events, and roughly 20% of attendees came from outside King County.
The Alliance described two near-term achievements: a large mural called Joyful Connections and an opened BelRed Art Studio adjacent to the light-rail station.…
