Fulton County commissioners approve sub-agreement for State Food Purchase Program and several administrative requests

The Fulton County Board of Commissioners on Feb. 10, 2026 approved and executed a Sub-Agreement between the County of Fulton and the Fulton County Food Basket, Inc. to administer the State Food Purchase Program (SFPP). Commissioner Randy H. Bunch moved to approve the Sub-Agreement after Food Basket Director Sue Cubbage told commissioners that state funds now come directly to the county rather than to the Food Basket, creating the need for a county administrator for the program.

In the same meeting the board approved several administrative items: a travel request for Services for Children Director Christine McQuade to attend the Chief Justice Max Baer's Children's Roundtable Summit in Hershey, Pa., on April 22–24, 2026; a Citgo tire quote for $640.00 to replace four tires on a Services for Children vehicle so it will pass inspection; and a Certification Statement for the fourth quarter of 2025 submitted by Services for Children Fiscal Technician Stephanie Mellott. Earlier in the meeting Commissioner Hervey P. Hann moved to approve accounts payable dated Feb. 3, 2026 totaling $91,872.06; the minutes list a fund-level breakdown including $75,212.91 to the General Fund and $12,500.00 to Capital Projects.

All recorded motions in these items were approved 'All in favor.' The minutes do not include detailed contract text of the SFPP Sub-Agreement, specific timelines for program administration, or a breakdown of how state SFPP funds will be allocated to subrecipients.
