Fulton County to replace 20-year-old dispatch clocks; approves regional support contract for 2026

Fulton County commissioners on Dec. 23 approved replacement of aging dispatch clocks and a regional support contract for the emergency communications system.
EMA/911 Director Brian Barton told the board the department's dispatch clocks are "over twenty years old and are in dire need of replacement." Barton also said the county has implemented "Pre Alert" and that information has been distributed to area fire departments; he gave an update on trainings completed and those planned.
On a motion by Commissioner Randy H. Bunch the board approved a ComPros quote for two dispatch clocks at $4,940.00, covering hardware and installation. Commissioner Hervey P. Hann moved to approve the 2026 Mission Critical Partners Regional Support Contract for professional services; the minutes note the contract is fully grant funded and the motion passed unanimously.
County staff were directed to execute the contracts and proceed with installation and grant reporting as required.
